Conferences can be hard on humans...

A Mandala Lecture

More Lecture PresentationI've been to a few conferences and they all are a bit overwhelming, especially the conferences regarding adoption. All the sitting around and listening to intense information can be trying to a person's patience! The Adoption Mandala conference experience was originally designed in two parts to address this reality and help offer a blend of learning and hands on work which gets people moving around and talking.

Part One, the lecture presentation, is a traditional conference experience where people sit in chairs and I give a presentation, an overview of how and why I created the Adoption Mandala. It is a well researched bit of academic work, but I keep it light and fun. I have some pretty slides. I tell a few jokes. Sometimes I get a little choked up because adoption reform is a big deal to me, but I always keep the focus on the purpose of the lecture, learning more in order to do integrate better pracitices into action. We end with questions, comments, and answers.
